The non calls for Hall was noticeable when he was an Oiler as well. I’d heard it said that this treatment had something to do with Hall having a bad relationship with the officials (chirping, contradicting, etc). Probably just a rumour but the non calls are notable.

True, Columbus did not look like last season
Columbus had 108 points
NJ Devils had 80 points.

NJD have definitely closed that gap and skated Columbus around in circles for 3 iut of 6 periods. (Periods 2-3 and 1 of second game ) . They are young and will have growing pains. But NJD are definitely a team on the rise .

Was at the game last night and a few observations / questions:
- As soon as Columbus increased the physical play, the Devils did not answer
- Too many opposing players are really taking shots at Nico. This kid is going to get killed if someone does not step up
- Why is Hayes getting PP time? Or in the line-up for that matter
- Stafford and Hayes can not be in the line-up together
- Time to give Prout a chance and add some physical
play
- Zacha has to go back into the line-up
- Severson was terrible last night as well
- PP combinations make no sense
- I feel that this season can go very bad very fast if they don't step up.
- This Ranger game is HUGE!

All Shero and Hynes care about is speed. Literally. Physical play means nothing to them.

No on Zacha. Not unless it's for Binghampton.

Tonight we will feel the impact of not having Henrique. He always had good games against the rags.

Top line is the only consistent producer though.

Entire team had a poop game so shaking up top to bottom isn't a bad thing. Also, Zajac on the 2nd line was producing actual nothing so I don't see how putting another player that will product nothing in that spot matters. At least Zacha tries to play offense.
